Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 April 2026
Private preview. Checkolo Planner is offered as a private preview and personal learning project. It is not operated for profit and does not constitute an offer of goods or services for sale. Access, features, and the site itself may change or be withdrawn at any time, with or without notice.
Nothing here creates a partnership, employment, agency, or investment relationship. There is no obligation to continue operating the service or to grant you any particular level of access.
If you are a consumer under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (Australian Consumer Law), you may have certain non-excludable rights, guarantees, and remedies. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
Where liability can be limited under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited (at our election) to resupplying the services or paying the cost of resupply. Any monetary cap in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by law.
By accessing or using Checkolo Planner, you agree to these Terms of Service and applicable laws. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Checkolo Planner, or if you are under 18 you must have the consent of a parent or guardian and use the service under their supervision where required by law. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Checkolo Planner for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. This is a licence, not a sale of rights. Under this licence you may not:
- Modify, copy, or create derivative works of the service except as allowed by law
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service except as allowed by law
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Transfer or sublicense your rights to use the service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that harms others
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use
- Be responsible for all content posted under your account
Your content: You retain ownership of content you create or upload. By using the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, copy, modify, and display your content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you share.
Our content: Text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and other materials on Checkolo Planner are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or logos without prior written consent.
Nature of the service. Checkolo Planner may generate or assist in generating checklists, templates, guides, and other content using artificial intelligence (AI) and automated systems. You acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Not professional advice. All AI-generated and platform-provided content is for informational and organisational purposes only. It is not legal, tax, financial, regulatory, compliance, medical, or other professional advice and must not be relied on as such.
- No warranty of accuracy or completeness. We do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your situation. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You are solely responsible for verifying information and for how you use the content.
- No professional relationship. Nothing creates a lawyer–client, accountant–client, or similar relationship. For decisions with legal or professional consequences, seek qualified advisers in your jurisdiction.
- Your responsibility. You assume the risks of using or relying on any checklist or content. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from such use, including business loss, compliance issues, or legal exposure.
If you do not accept these disclaimers, do not use AI-assisted features or rely on such content.
You may not use Checkolo Planner to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe intellectual property or other rights
- Transmit harmful or malicious code
- Spam or harass other users
- Interfere with the operation or security of the service
Checkolo Planner is currently provided without charge as part of a private preview and learning project. There is no paid checkout, subscription, or billing through this site at present.
If we ever introduce paid features or paid access, we will publish updated terms and, where required, clear disclosures at the point of signup or payment. Those terms will apply to paid use from their effective date.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss resulting from interruptions or changes.
Termination by you: You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account where that feature is available, or contact us for assistance.
Termination by us: We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or where we reasonably need to protect the service or other users.
Effect of termination: Your right to use the service ends on termination. We may delete your account and associated data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Except where the Australian Consumer Law or other law implies non-excludable guarantees, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We make no representation or warranty about checklists, guides, templates, or other content generated or assisted by AI—including as to accuracy, completeness, regulatory compliance, or fitness for a purpose. Your reliance on such content is at your sole risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable law, Checkolo Planner and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or similar losses, arising from your use of the service, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise.
Without limiting the above, we are not liable for losses arising from your reliance on AI-generated or platform-provided content, including business loss, regulatory non-compliance, or legal exposure, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and non-excludable rights, our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to one hundred Australian dollars (AUD $100), or any higher minimum amount required by law. Because the service is currently offered without fees, no alternative fee-based cap applies.
Some laws do not allow certain limitations; where that applies to you, those limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Checkolo Planner and its operators from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from: (1) your use of the service, (2) your breach of these Terms, (3) infringement of third-party rights by your content, or (4) your reliance on AI-generated or platform-provided content—except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or unlawful conduct where such indemnity is not permitted by law.
Informal resolution: Before starting legal proceedings, please contact us at contact@checkolo.com so we can try to resolve the matter in good faith.
Courts: Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any non-waivable right you have to use a different forum, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service that cannot be resolved informally may be brought exclusively in the courts of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the State of New South Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction's laws. Your local mandatory consumer protections may still apply where they cannot lawfully be contracted away.
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, or government action.
If any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, that part will be read down or severed to the minimum extent necessary so the remainder remains in effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and other notices we publish on the service, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service and replace any prior inconsistent understandings on the same subject.
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will use reasonable means to notify you (for example, a notice on the service or, where we hold your email, an email). Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
