Sign in and your account
From the Checkolo Planner user guide · browse all topics
Checkolo Planner is built for signed-in users. This guide covers everyday account tasks in plain language—no technical setup.
Creating an account
- Open the Register or Sign up page from the site you were invited to use.
- Enter the details the form asks for (usually name, email, and password).
- If the product asks you to verify your email, open the message from Checkolo and follow the link. Verification helps confirm you own the address and keeps accounts safer.
Tip: Use an email you check regularly. Password resets and magic links are sent there.
Signing in
Common options (your site may offer some or all of these):
- Email and password — Enter both and sign in.
- Google, Microsoft, or Facebook — Use the button for the provider you prefer; you may be asked to allow Checkolo to sign you in.
- Magic link — Enter your email; you receive a link. Open it on the same device/browser when possible to complete sign-in.
If nothing happens after you submit, wait a few seconds, check spam for email, and try once more before contacting support.
Forgot your password
- Open Forgot password (or similar) on the login page.
- Enter your account email.
- Use the link in the email to choose a new password.
- Return to Sign in and log in with the new password.
For security, password-reset links are usually one-time and expire. If the link says it is invalid, request a new reset email.
Signing out
Open your profile menu (avatar or person icon), then choose Log out.
What to keep private (important)
Treat your account like your bank app:
- Do not share your password, magic-link emails, or verification links with anyone.
- No legitimate support person will ask for your password.
- If you use a shared computer, always sign out when you are done.
This guide does not describe internal technical controls. End users only need good habits and the official sign-in pages.
Where to manage your profile
After sign-in, open Profile Settings from your profile menu (often under Settings at /settings). There you can usually update your name, security options, notifications, and other preferences. See Settings, notifications, and privacy for an overview of those tabs.
